
Overlea, a community within Baltimore County typically characterized by its tranquility, became the epicenter of a police chase last Saturday night after a stolen vehicle incident escalated into a full-blown pursuit. According to WBALTV, the chaos began when police responded to a 911 call regarding an automobile theft. The subsequent chain of events saw a stolen car crash and the apprehension of two juveniles, while a third suspect managed to evade arrest.
As reported by Fox Baltimore, the two captured teens, aged 15 and 16, were found hiding in the woods. Their accomplice, however, remains at large, despite extensive police efforts to locate and apprehend him. In the wake of the incident, a police officer sustained minor injuries, highlighting the potential dangers that law enforcement officials often face in attempts to quickly restore order.
Describing the intensity of the situation, one resident recalled the chaos: "There were flashlights all over. Back here, back there. "I was scared that all them cops around that, thought somebody was shooting guns or something," as conveyed in a statement, detailed by Fox Baltimore.
The Baltimore County police continue their investigation and urge anyone with information about the remaining fugitive from the Overlea incident to come forward.
