Meanwhile, a separate report from CBS News Baltimore confirmed that the incident is being treated as a homicide. Officers, who were summoned to the location around 11:40 a.m., have yet to share details regarding the cause of death. This latest fatality adds to a current-year tally of 20 homicides recorded by police in Baltimore County.
Contextualizing the crime, the county has observed a near 10% decline in homicide rates over the past couple of years, from 30 cases in 2023 to 27 in 2024.
