Baltimore County police are currently investigating a collision that involved a school bus on Thursday afternoon. The incident occurred in the Timonium area, at the intersection of Eastridge and Medbury Roads, according to a statement made by the Baltimore County police and reported by Fox Baltimore.
In the crash, reported by WMAR-2 News, two vehicles were involved: a school bus and a car. While no students were injured, the occupant of the car sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries, still in the aftermath of the crash, remains undetermined.
An official message was dispatched to the families of the students aboard the bus, assuring them of their children's safety. "This afternoon, bus 5354 was involved in a minor accident. Out of an abundance of caution, the bus driver called 911. There are no reported injuries," said Seth Barish, Principal, in a statement detailed by Fox Baltimore. It also stated that officials from the BCPS Department of Transportation were present at the scene and that the bus would continue its route post-clearance from the authorities.
Further details surrounding the crash are sparse as the investigation by the officers from the Cockeysville precinct continues.
