As part of this educational and engaging event, the theme "Flame Free Zone, Make it Your Own! Keep Three Feet Clear of All Campfires," aims to promote the best practices in fire safety. According to an announcement on the city's website, residents will be offered tips on a variety of safety concerns including home, grill, recreational fire, and vehicle safety.
The day isn't just about safety lectures; it features activities that are sure to entertain. Families can look forward to truck tours, meeting Sparky the fire dog, and if the weather is willing, kids can have a go at water spraying. Between these activities, attendees can snag some photos, and kids can dive into coloring sheets.
Demonstrations will be woven throughout the day to showcase safety protocols, allowing visitors a chance to interact with their local firefighters. To complement the fun, free refreshments and giveaways will be on hand, with items like youth T-shirts, bags, fire helmets, magnets, and stickers up for grabs.
