With temperatures on the rise, Texas-based Blue Bell has introduced a new seasonal offering: Classic Pecan Pie Ice Cream. The new flavor features brown sugar ice cream mixed with roasted pecans, pie crust pieces, and a swirl of pecan pie filling. According to CW39, the flavor combines elements of traditional pecan pie with a frozen dessert format.
"Our new flavor combines your favorite ice cream with everything you enjoy in a pecan pie," said John Neal Robinson, general sales manager for Blue Bell, in a statement to KHOU. In line with its Texas origins, Blue Bell has released Classic Pecan Pie Ice Cream, aligning the flavor with the state’s official pie.
“At Blue Bell, we know how to make great-tasting ice cream. And being a Texas-based company, we understand what it takes to be a prize-winning pecan pie. Our Classic Pecan Pie is sure to become your new favorite dessert,” Robinson told KHOU. The product is available in half-gallon and pint sizes for a limited time.
Blue Bell is also reintroducing a previously discontinued flavor. Homemade in the Shade Ice Cream, which combines the brand’s Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream with a swirl of chocolate fudge sauce, is returning after a ten-year absence. The flavor will be available alongside Classic Pecan Pie Ice Cream in both pint and half-gallon sizes.
