Brighton Police are currently probing the circumstances surrounding a deadly vehicular incident that transpired yesterday, shortly before the dawn's first light, in the vicinity of Mt. Bierstadt St and E Bridge St. The collision involved a truck traveling eastbound in the lanes designated for westbound traffic, culminating in a direct collision with an oncoming vehicle, according to the City of Brighton.
As disclosed by the Brighton Police Department's report, a 47-year-old man helmed the truck, his journey ending abruptly in the fatal accident. Having sustained critical injuries, just after being admitted to a nearby hospital, he was pronounced deceased. In the same disastrous event, a woman was severely injured while operating the other vehicle and required urgent transportation to a hospital for advanced care and assessment.
The identities of those involved in the grievous crash remain undisclosed, pending the coroner’s office's conclusive identification and the subsequent notification of their families.
