Brookhaven police have their sights set on a notorious package thief, Amanda Noble, who stands accused of filching hundreds of parcels from apartment mailrooms across metro Atlanta. With warrants out for Noble's arrest stemming from mailroom burglaries on August 5 and August 23, authorities reckon this isn't her first rodeo; in 2023, Noble was collared in Brookhaven for similar misconduct. The Brookhaven police have intensified their patrols and are coordinating with nearby law enforcement to thwart any further thefts, underlining the well-organized nature of these heists, and Noble's pink hair and braid, a distinctive feature noted by a frustrated homeowner, Christopher Doherty, whose community has faced repeated burglaries this year, as reported by WSB-TV.
Investigators are also pursuing a man believed to be collaborating with Noble, and Lieutenant Anthony Petron of the Brookhaven Police Department addressed the situation, stating, "It appears to be a coordinated effort. There is a, male subject that has been seen with her or accompanying her during these, thefts," this according to FOX 5 Atlanta, which signifies a broader network at play perhaps Nationwide. Police are stressing that residents should not take matters into their own hands but rather contact law enforcement if Noble is spotted.
Captain Abrem Ayana, a representative of the Brookhaven Police Department underscored Noble's criminal track record, telling WSB-TV, “We arrested Ms. Noble previously in Brookhaven back in 2023. We investigated a similar case here in Brookhaven, where she was accused of stealing packages at a separate apartment complex. All appearances are that this is what she does.” Furthermore, Ayana advised residents to exercise vigilance, recommending "a will call" for package retrievals, as even secure mailrooms have been breached.
While the search for Noble and her alleged accomplice continues, the police are advocating for public assistance and remind everyone that tips can be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477 and may be eligible for a reward. “Stealing packages from someone who works hard for the things that they buy, it’s just kind of crazy that someone would swoop in and steal these things,” expressed Doherty, capturing the shared sentiment of the pilfered populace, as reported by WSB-TV.
