The 2nd Friday Art Walk is slated for the evening of Sept. 12, offering locals and visitors alike a chance to leisurely explore the creative spaces of downtown Carrboro and Chapel Hill. According to an announcement from the Town of Carrboro, the walk will feature art galleries, studios, shops, restaurants, live music, performances, spoken word poetry, and more.
Venues will welcome guests during the late afternoon and evening hours with special exhibits at Carrboro Town Hall and the Drakeford Library Complex being open from 6 to 8 p.m. The event promises a diverse array of exhibitions and experiences across several participating venues, these include Ackland Art Museum, The ArtsCenter, and The Beehive Salon, among others. Culminating a celebration of the arts that reaches across the town, the 2nd Friday Art Walk represents an intersection of artistic expression and community engagement not to be missed.
Featured locations for the event are significant locales throughout the towns, providing audiences with a rich tapestry of visual and performance arts.
