The end of summer is about to get a lot more exciting for dog owners in Carrollton. The city is hosting its annual Pooch Pool Party at the Rosemeade Rainforest Aquatic Complex this coming Saturday. Pet parents are encouraged to bring their canine buddies to enjoy an afternoon filled with splashes and wagging tails from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., located at 1334 E. Rosemeade Parkway.
During this unique event, dogs will truly get to quickly dive into the fun, taking over the pool usually reserved for their two-legged friends. While the pooches paddle and play, their owners can browse through a range of pet-friendly vendor stalls. In case your fur baby needs to be caught up on shots, the Carrollton West Veterinary Clinic will be providing vaccines on-site between the hours of 10 a.m. and noon. Additionally, Carrollton Animal Services will also be there offering free City pet registrations for the entire duration of the festivities, as reported by the City of Carrollton's announcement.
Entry fees for this wet and wild party are set at $10 per dog, but humans get in free. Just make sure your dog is up to date with their rabies vaccination, registered with the City of Carrollton, and accompanied by an adult. And just a heads up – humans will have to stay dry since they're not allowed to jump in the pool with their furry friends.
