This fall, the City of Chandler is offering free guided tours, giving residents a chance to explore airport operations. Running from September through December, the tours invite locals and aviation enthusiasts to learn how the airport works, according to the city’s official website.
Tours will be offered monthly with two time slots, 10:30–11:30 a.m. and 2–3 p.m. Dates are set for Friday, Sept. 19; Friday, Oct. 17; Monday, Nov. 24; and Friday, Dec. 12. Each tour includes an overview of the airfield and a stop at the heliport. Space is limited to 14 guests, so residents, students, and aviation enthusiasts are encouraged to register early for a more personal experience, as per the City of Chandler.
Located at 2380 S. Stinson Way, Chandler Municipal Airport is part of the national airport system and a source of civic pride for the city. For more information about the tours or the airport’s operations, contact Stephanie Romero, Public Information Officer for the City of Chandler, at 480-782-2231.
