
Charlotte County is seeking volunteers to fill vacancies on several advisory boards and councils. The county is looking for individuals with relevant interests and qualifications to help guide local services and initiatives. These volunteer positions provide an opportunity for residents to participate in county governance.
According to the Charlotte County announcement, open positions include a role on the Tourist Development Council for someone connected to the local tourism industry, ideally a Charlotte County elector or a resident of a nearby county who owns a business in Charlotte County. The Barrier Island Fire Service Municipal Service Benefit Unit Advisory Board is also seeking a resident from that unit to fill a term ending in late 2026. Other openings are available on various Street & Drainage and Waterway Units, which require property ownership or residency in the respective areas. Terms for many positions extend to the end of October 2028.

Available positions include units such as the Boca Grande and Burnt Store Village Street & Drainage Units, as well as waterway units including South Gulf Cove and Gulf Cove.
