Early Tuesday morning, a grim discovery was made in the 4100 block of Hyde Park Drive in Charlotte's North Division. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officers arrived shortly after 6:30 a.m. following a welfare check call. They found an unresponsive individual who was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene by MEDIC, as reported on the CMPD's website.
Detectives from the Homicide Unit and the Crime Scene Search team were called to actively investigate and to carefully collect any physical evidence. The ongoing investigation is being spearheaded by Detective Jones, with assistance from CMPD's Operations Command, Victim Services, and again from MEDIC, details of which can be referred to in report number 20250902-0638-00.
