
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is seeking the public's help in locating a missing man, Joseph Nsiah Bimpeh, age 65, who disappeared earlier this week. According to a press release from the CMPD, Bimpeh was last seen on Monday, Sept. 2, around 4:50 p.m., near the intersection of Old Plank Road and Galeburg Street in Charlotte.
Bimpeh, who has been reported to suffer from cognitive and other health issues, was wearing a white tank top, white shorts, and carrying a white, blue, and yellow robe when he left his home on Wicked Oak Lane. He was noticed walking northwest toward Brookshire Boulevard. Officials are particularly concerned due to his health conditions, and urge anyone with information to come forward.
Authorities received a call for service late Tuesday night and have been canvassing the area since. Residents in the vicinity of Old Plank Road and Galeburg Street are being asked to check their properties and any surveillance footage that may provide clues to Bimpeh's whereabouts. Members of the local community can aid the investigation by being vigilant and reporting any sightings immediately to the CMPD.
Anyone with information about Joseph Nsiah Bimpeh's disappearance or current whereabouts is urged to contact the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Missing Persons Unit.
