In a recent social media post, the Citrus Heights Police Department reported several drug-related arrests from Sunday night. The post highlights the department’s efforts to fight narcotics in the community and the importance of these actions for public safety.
The first case involved the observation of a suspicious vehicle, which upon inspection led to the discovery of fentanyl and associated paraphernalia. A more thorough search resulted in approximately 7 grams of fentanyl prepared for sale and led to one individual being arrested for narcotics offenses, as reported by the Citrus Heights PD on Facebook.
In the second highlighted incident, a seemingly routine vehicle stop for code violations escalated quickly into a drug bust. The passenger, who was on parole, and the driver, became subjects of interest when a substantial amount of methamphetamine fell out from the driver’s clothing. The resultant vehicle search uncovered not only drugs but also a loaded firearm and ammunition, with both individuals being arrested for drug and firearm-related crimes.
The third arrest detailed by the Citrus Heights PD’s post occurred when a probationary search during another traffic stop led to the discovery of 1.5 ounces of meth and evidence indicative of drug sales. The driver, already on searchable probation, was subsequently arrested and booked on charges related to methamphetamine sales.
