Clark County is looking for community-minded residents to join its Telecommunications Commission. This group helps guide local decisions about cable TV and telecom services. If you live in Clark County Washington and care about public and educational broadcasting, this is your chance to help shape how cable works in your community.
Here's what the role involves: you'll serve as an advisor to both the Clark County and Vancouver City Councils. You'll help make sure cable companies follow their agreements and offer input during contract negotiations. This is to fill a vacant position that runs until May 31, 2027. Meetings are held twice a year on Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m., both in person at Vancouver City Hall and online for easier access, as detailed by the Clark County Washington.
If you're interested, just send a letter explaining why you want the role and your resume to the County Manager's Office, attention Jake Goodwin. You can mail it to the P.O. Box or email it to [email protected]. But don’t wait—applications are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, October 10, as per the Clark County Washington.
