Following up on a previous call for information, the Columbus Division of Police has made an arrest in connection to a burglary incident that took place early last month. A suspect, 24-year-old Cole Palmer, is now in custody facing burglary charges.
According to a post by the Columbus Division of Police on Facebook, the burglary occurred in the 1300 block of N. High St. on July 5. Video evidence showed two male suspects forcibly entering a bedroom and making off with nine pairs of shoes. The update released on September 8 details Palmer's arrest, which took place almost two months after the reported crime.
Palmer's apprehension stemmed from a diligent investigation initiated by the officers who were dispatched to the scene following the burglary report. The video footage played a crucial role in the investigation, leading to a conclusive identification of Palmer as one of the perpetrators involved in the incident.
