
On Monday, deputies in Parkland were alerted by a citizen about suspicious activity on the 400 block of Wheeler St. S. They found a stolen SUV with three people inside trying to flee, leading to a brief chase, as reported by the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.
According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department, the chase ended when the SUV went off the road on the 1500 block of 99th St. E. The three suspects ran, but deputies caught them all: the driver before climbing a fence, one passenger under a car, and the third in a backyard pretending to be a resident.
Two 18-year-olds and a 16-year-old were arrested for charges including possession of stolen property and resisting arrest. The minors were processed at Remann Hall, while the adults were taken to Pierce County Jail. The arrests followed a night of attempted crimes that were reported by local residents, as stated by the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.
