
Tragedy struck Cordes Lakes over the weekend when a house fire claimed the life of a 37-year-old man. The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office reported that they responded to the emergency shortly before 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 6. Deputies were swiftly met by a woman reporting that her step-son was still inside the burning home.
Despite the efforts to safely fully evacuate the residence, the man was tragically unable to escape the inferno. His remains were later found amongst the charred remnants of what was once his dwelling. The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office has stated the cause of the fire is being investigated, but now asserts that no foul play is suspected in this heartrending incident.
