Dallas residents can expect a series of sunny days with a chance of showers sprinkled throughout the week, according to the latest weather forecasts. With temperatures peaking in the mid-90s, the city is set to experience what could be described as a typical transition into the fall season. The National Weather Service reports that today will be mostly sunny, with a high near 94 degrees and a mild south-southeast wind blowing at 5 to 10 mph.
As the sun dips come evening, skies will remain mostly clear with tonight's lows hovering around 73 degrees and the winds maintaining their gentle pace. Walking their dogs after dinner, the residents of Dallas should enjoy a placid evening, with the south southeast wind subtly rustling through the trees. Sunday will bring a similar story in terms of sunny skies; however, there's a slight chance of showers between 1pm and 4pm, and then potential thunderstorms post-4pm with a 20 percent chance of precipitation.
Into the night on Sunday, the chance of thunderstorms will drop before 7pm, giving way to a clear night with lows once again near 73. Come Monday, the city will bounce back to sunshine with highs near 94 and winds from the south reaching up to 20 mph in gusts. According to the National Weather Service, Monday night will see a return of a 20 percent chance of showers after 1 am under mostly clear skies.
The pattern of sun and sporadic showers continues into the week, with Tuesday facing a 40 percent chance of showers in otherwise sunny conditions and a high near 95 degrees. At night, partly cloudy skies could carry showers and thunderstorms with a 40 percent chance of rain as the wind shifts west northwest after midnight. Coming into Wednesday, chances of precipitation hit 30 percent before 1pm, followed by a slight chance of showers later as temperatures cool to a high near 87.
The rest of the week looks to be a continuation of this mild unpredictability, with a 20 percent chance of showers from Wednesday night through Friday. Days are set to be mostly sunny, with temperatures sitting comfortably in the mid-80s. Despite the variability of rain, the weather pattern seems typical for Dallas citizens as they navigate the early changes of the season.
