
Authorities found the body of a 63-year-old woman in the parking lot of McGregor Elementary School in Rochester on Wednesday. The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is leading the investigation, and while the autopsy results are pending, officials say the woman may have taken her own life, as per The Detroit News.

According to the Rochester Police Michigan on their Facebook page, "As we are close to dismissal all students will be released out the west side of the building on Willow Grove. Please plan accordingly and do not arrive for pickup on First Street," directing parents to use a different pickup area.
McGregor Elementary and Rochester Community Schools released statements after a recent incident. McGregor Elementary said, "The area has been cleared. All students and staff are safe. Classes will continue at McGregor Elementary on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025," and the district said, "The incident remains under police investigation. All McGregor Elementary School students and staff are safe," as mentioned by ClickOnDetroit. The incident follows several unrelated found-body cases in Oakland County over the summer.
