According to the National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan, WI, a Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 7:52 AM CDT Sunday, with visibility dropping to less than one-quarter mile in places.
The advisory spans multiple counties, including Fond du Lac, Sheboygan, Dodge, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Walworth, Washington, and Waukesha. The NWS advises, "If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you." Outdoor plans for the early morning might also be impacted, as the thick fog could persist until mid-morning before the sun prevails, ushering in clearer skies and warmer temperatures.
Looking beyond today, the region is expected to experience a stretch of sunny and pleasant weather, with highs gradually climbing from the mid-70s to near 80 by Wednesday. This is an opportune time for locals to enjoy outdoor activities, even as the nights remain cool with low temperatures around the low to mid-60s, according to the NWS's detailed forecast.
The weather service also warns of potential thunderstorms rolling in later next week, posing a slight disruption to the otherwise calm weather pattern. Spotter activation, however, will not be necessary in the coming days. The Hazardous Weather Outlook issued by the service doesn't forecast any significant threats, meaning folks can go about their weeks with minimal weather-related concerns, aside from the aforementioned potential for thunderstorms.
