On Friday, the Denver District Attorney's Office announced the sentence of Stefon Flowers to 19 years in prison for his crimes of pimping, after he pleaded guilty to two counts back in August. The Denver Police Department reports that over two months, between September and November 2023, Flowers manipulated at least four women into prostitution, creating online ads with coerced photographs to attract sex buyers, controlling and threatening the women throughout the process, and collecting the earnings from their forced labor.
Denver DA Walsh, highlighting the intolerable nature of human trafficking, commended the justice served upon Flowers, stating, "Stefon Flowers preyed upon vulnerable women to satisfy his own greed," and added, "if you engage in human trafficking in any form in Denver, you will be caught and prosecuted, and pay a heavy price under the law," as per Denver Police Department. The successful closure of this case was not only a testament to the hardworking officials but also to the bravery of the victims, whose courage in stepping forward was instrumental in bringing Flowers to face his transgressions. The tireless efforts of the prosecutors, investigators, and victim advocates were crucial, though their names were not revealed in detail for public commendation.
