Denver residents can look forward to a calm and sunny Labor Day, according to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service (NWS), which predicts a high near 86 degrees with light winds turning north northeast in the afternoon. If you've got outdoor plans, it seems like Mother Nature is on your side.
According to the National Weather Service, the evening will remain mostly clear, with temperatures dipping to around 55 degrees. The winds ought to stay gentle, but some stronger gusts up to 16 mph could slide in, making that late-night porch sit just a touch more vigorous. The NWS outlook, available at their website, indicates that similar weather patterns will continue through to Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs sticking in the mid-80s and low temperatures holding steady in the mid-50s.
Moving into the latter part of the week, Denverites might notice a slight hiccup in their blue skies, as there's a hint of thunderstorms starting Friday afternoon with the warming trend taking a slight dip to 81 degrees, so be sure to pack an umbrella if you're planning on soaking up that Colorado sun. The outlook also suggests that these chances for showers and thunderstorms will linger into the weekend, though temperatures are expected to remain fairly pleasant, reaching the mid-80s during the day and mid-50s overnight.
