The Detroit Police Department has issued an appeal to the public in their efforts to locate 36-year-old Joseph Abbott-Sardin, who went missing earlier last month. Abbott-Sardin was last seen on August 3, after he left his sister's place on the 11400 block of Christy Street and failed to return. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue shorts, and New Balance shoes at the time of his disappearance, as per ClickOnDetroit.
His sister has expressed concern for Joseph's well-being, noting that he has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. The authorities have described him as 5′10″ tall, weighing around 200 pounds, bald with brown eyes. The urgency of locating Joseph is clear, and the department urges anyone with information to step forward, as his sister, and presumably others who care for him, await his safe return.
In an effort to widen their search, the Detroit Police Department's 9th Precinct turned to social media, sharing a post on the Detroit Police Department's Missing asking for the public's assistance. They shared: "Please help us find missing Joseph Abbott-Sardin. If you have any information, please call the Detroit Police Department's 9th Precinct at 313-596-5940."
