
The Detroit Police Department has issued a plea for public assistance in locating 21-year-old Raneycia Johnson, who was reported missing from her Detroit home. According to ClickOnDetroit, Johnson was last seen leaving her residence in the 20400 block of Harned Street on Tuesday, September 16th, but has not since returned.
She is described as being 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing approximately 120 pounds, with black braided hair and brown eyes. At the time of her disappearance, Johnson was wearing a green and red hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and was carrying a black book bag. The Detroit Police Department’s 11th Precinct is leading the search efforts and outlines these details in their appeal for information.
Raneycia’s mother has expressed additional concern, revealing her daughter's struggle with schizophrenia, which may increase the urgency of finding the young woman. The Detroit Police Department's Missing Persons unit has taken to social media to spread the word, explicitly asking for the community's help on Facebook, where they posted, "Please help us find missing Raneycia Johnson. If you have any information, please call the Detroit Police Department's 11th Precinct at 313-596-1140."
