According to FOX 5 Atlanta, this year's fundraising efforts at Dragon Con have now pushed the total charitable donations past the $2 million mark for NAMI Georgia since the convention began focusing its efforts on a single charity annually in 2012.
Adding a compassionate layer to the festivities, convention-goers also contributed significantly to local blood banks, with the event accumulating upwards of 10,600 blood components for 25 metro Atlanta hospitals.
