
Early Tuesday morning, a police chase in South Houston ended when a driver crashed into a tattoo shop on Spencer Highway. Click2Houston reported that Pasadena police saw the man driving recklessly and tried to pull him over, but he fled and lost control during a turn, hitting the building. The driver, whose name has not been released, is in serious condition.
A speeding vehicle in Pasadena crashed after officers attempted a traffic stop, breaking through a brick wall and damaging water lines. According to Click2Houston, firefighters from the South Houston Fire Department responded and worked with a wrecker service to remove the vehicle before starting the extrication, which took about 30 to 40 minutes. The driver was then taken to Texas Medical Center with critical injuries.
Fox26 Houston stated that a driver lost control and crashed after speeding away from police near York. The driver was taken by Life Flight to the hospital, and his condition is unknown. Pasadena Police have not released his identity or said if impairment was involved. Lt. Craig Hamilton said the department is investigating why the driver fled.
