The dunk tank event, which is currently in its second day, is situated on the corner of Court & 2nd Street. Thrill-seekers and those looking to cool off an officer in the name of charity can participate during scheduled hours over the weekend – on Saturday from 11 AM to 7 PM and on Sunday from 11 AM to 3 PM.
Details shared by the Elyria Police Department on their official Facebook page reveal that the proceeds from the event will directly benefit Elyria City Schools. Moreover, participants who bring a donation of non-perishable food items are rewarded with three complimentary throws at the dunk tank. The collected food will go to The Pioneer Freedge, a local initiative addressing food insecurity.
