As October ushers in the crisp autumn air, the City of Euless is inviting families to a series of outdoor activities that promise to add some communal spirit to the fall season. Fish-friendly families can kick things off early in the month with the Jr. Anglers event. Slated for Saturday, October 4, from 9 a.m. to noon, Wilshire Park will become a playground for both novice and experienced young fishers. According to the City of Euless, there will be equipment on hand, although attendees are welcome to bring their own. They're also teasing prizes for various competitions sorted by age groups.
A week later, on Saturday, October 11, is Movie in the Park, where families can enjoy an outdoor screening of Scooby-Doo: The Movie. The event is set to take place at Glade Parks, wedged between local spots Thirsty Lion and The Reserve, starting at sundown. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own blankets and lawn chairs for a comfortable viewing experience, coupled with their best "ruh-roh" impressions to add to the fun-filled ambience.
Mid-month, on Friday, October 17, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., the Euless Family Life Center Natatorium transforms into a whimsical pumpkin patch. The Pumpkin Splash event lets kids dive into an indoor pool filled with floating pumpkins, selecting their favorite to take home as a festive souvenir. This unique twist on a traditional pumpkin patch is designed as a fun way for kids to combine swimming with seasonal activities.
