In a bizarre break-in, Fairfield, CA, witnessed a curious case of a trespasser who dozed off during the act. According to the information released on the Fairfield Police Department's social media, a homeowner on the 500 block of Gregory Street encountered an unanticipated situation yesterday. Upon returning home around 5:47 AM, the resident discovered the lock to his garage had been tampered with, and the interior door had been forcefully opened.
The surprise unfolded when the homeowner found a man asleep inside his house, who was subsequently identified as 40-year-old Quincy Collins. The resident did what many would find unthinkable: he managed to evict the sleeping intruder and promptly called the police. Upon their arrival, Fairfield officers didn't have to venture far as they found Collins just a few blocks away from the scene of his ill-fated break-in attempt.
Collins, who has now been linked to the crime, faced swift justice after being taken into custody. Law enforcement officials transported him to Solano County Jail, where he was booked on burglary charges and an alleged parole violation.
