
A tragic incident unfolded in the Chinatown-International District of Seattle this morning when a semi-truck collided with a pedestrian, resulting in a fatality. The Seattle Police Department responded to the scene at the intersection of 12th Avenue South and South King Street around 10:30 a.m. following reports of the crash.
The victim, a man whose identity has yet to be released, was found with life-threatening injuries. The Seattle Fire Department promptly arrived on scene and quickly transported the individual to Harborview Medical Center. Unfortunately, despite all life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the medical facility. Officers at the scene evaluated the semi-truck driver for signs of impairment and determined that it was not a contributing factor. Consequently, no arrest was made at the time.
