A fatal accident on Saturday morning closed the westbound lanes of Grand Parkway near Kuykendahl Road. A single vehicle hit a guardrail and caught fire. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez provided additional details.
A driver was rescued from a vehicle fire by a good Samaritan and airlifted to a hospital in critical condition. The passenger died at the scene. The cause of the crash and how the vehicle hit the guardrail are still unknown, according to KHOU.
