
A tragic incident on Highway C claimed the life of a 49-year-old woman Monday night when her motorcycle collided with a sport utility vehicle. The crash occurred around 8:01 P.M. near the intersection of CTH C and 274th Avenue, as reported by the Kenosha County Sheriff's Office. The deceased motorcyclist, whose name has been withheld to respect the family's privacy, was the sole rider and sustained severe injuries from the impact.
According to authorities, the motorcycle was traveling west and the SUV was heading east before the crash took place. The SUV, attempting to make a left-hand turn onto 274th Ave, was struck on the passenger side by the motorcycle. The rider was promptly taken to a hospital via ambulance, where she was ultimately pronounced dead. The operator of the SUV was unharmed, while two passengers in the vehicle suffered minor injuries but stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
Speed has been ruled out as a contributory factor in this accident by officials. Kenosha County's Major Crash Assistance Team (MCAT) was dispatched to investigate the details of the fatal collision further. The Kenosha County Sheriff's Office expressed its condolences and urged the community to adhere to speed limits and avoid driving distractions.
