A shooting at Flexx Sports Bar and Ultra Lounge in Tampa early in the morning left one man dead and another injured. Tampa Police are investigating the incident, which began as a verbal dispute between two unrelated groups.
According to News Tampa Police on City of Tampa website, a 22-year-old man who had been removed from the bar for disorderly conduct returned with a firearm. Another verbal dispute followed, leading to gunfire outside the venue on E. 7th Avenue shortly after 2:15 a.m. The 30-year-old victim was transported to a hospital in critical condition and later died. A second man sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers stationed nearby intervened immediately, provided aid, and took the suspected shooter into custody. The individual is cooperating with the investigation.
