A tragic event unfolded in the tranquil neighborhood of Pleasant Hills on Labor Day, where a father and son were found dead after a reported shooting incident inside their home. According to WPXI, the Allegheny County Police Department received a 911 call at around 7:21 a.m., alerting them to the disturbance at the 400 block of Nantucket Drive.
Initial efforts to contact the inhabitants of the home were met with silence, prompting the calling in of SWAT to assess and secure the scene. On entry into the residence at approximately 9:21 a.m., SWAT team members discovered the bodies of the two men, fatally wounded by single gunshot wounds. The victims were identified as a father and his adult son, as per a statement obtained by WTAE.
The Allegheny County Police Department has since taken the lead in the ongoing investigation.
