
On Saturday, police recovered another body from Houston’s waterways, the fifth in the week. The victim is unidentified, and Houston Police Department and the Medical Examiner are still investigating the identity and cause of death, according to CW39.
From Monday through Thursday, at least five bodies were recovered from the bayous. The first was a University of Houston student. Another person was found in a canal, and authorities said that death was due to natural causes. Additional recoveries happened on Tuesday and Thursday, including one drowning and another reported by a witness, with details reported by KHOU.
On Saturday, Houston Police Department responded to calls near Hirsch Road and North York Street. At North York Street, a body was recovered from the water by the Houston Police Department dive team. No identities have been released, and the investigation is ongoing.
