Following a high-speed collision on Iron Point Rd in Folsom, local law enforcement has ramped up speed enforcement measures. The Folsom Police Department reported that last Sunday, a driver lost control at high speeds, resulting in their vehicle going airborne and hitting a wall near the intersection of Iron Point Rd and McAdoo Dr.
The incident, which occurred around 9:10 AM, prompted a response that led to the hospitalized driver with injuries. Community members have since voiced concerns over the risks that come with speeding in the vicinity, with this event exposing the inherent dangers. In what seems to be a direct reaction to these worries, officers conducted focused speed enforcement efforts shortly after attending the site of the crash, according to the same social media post, they issued multiple citations for speeding violations.
In a plea for communal safety, the Folsom Police Department asks all those who take the wheel to heed caution’s call, to "slow down, drive responsibly, and help keep Folsom’s roads safe for everyone."
