Fort Worth's local business community is set to get a financial shot in the arm, thanks to the Thriving Cities Fund. Small business owners, particularly those steering the ship at brick-and-mortar establishments, are encouraged to mark their calendars for an informative Brick & Mortar Forum. This session is specially tailored to enlighten attendees on the growth capital opportunities available through the Thriving Cities Fund—a collaboration between Homegrown and Flock Safety.
The fund is on the lookout to invest in successful, profit-generating brick-and-mortar businesses eager to broadly expand their horizons. The type of expansion in question includes opening new locations, performing remodels, or pursuing acquisition opportunities. According to the City of Fort Worth, services that customers physically step into, such as "restaurants, gyms, salons, spas, retail shops, co-working spaces, medical and dental practices or urgent care clinics," are of prime interest for the Thriving Cities Fund.
Aside from the business owners themselves, the forthcoming forum is also welcoming those who are integral supporters of the physical store framework—real estate brokers, contractors, and designers are just a few of the professionals mentioned. The event aims not only to inform, but also to bridge gaps between various stakeholders in the community.
Set to take place from 9-10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9, at Chadra Mezza & Grill, the information session is ticking closer. There is also a nod to inclusivity, with arrangements for Spanish-speaking attendees to seamlessly fully understand through provided translation headsets. As described by City of Fort Worth, City of Fort Worth, District 3 Councilmember Michael Crain, the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and the Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce are playing hosts for this much-anticipated event.
