If you're a fan of nocturnal critters and looking for some seasonal fun this October, you're in luck. The Hardware Wildlife Education Center at the Hardware Wildlife Management Area is hosting a "Night Life" exhibit that's completely free, showcasing the creatures that stir under the moonlit skies of Utah. The exhibit, as noted by the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, promises an educational adventure, capturing the essence of Utah's nature after dark through majestic photography and engaging activities.
Set against the backdrop of Blacksmith Fork Canyon's autumnal splendor, the exhibit rolls out across three weekends, Oct. 3-5, Oct. 17-19, and Oct. 24-26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. On top of the striking photographs, the exhibit features display panels with interesting trivia about each animal and bird. As divulged by the exhibit's organizers, the spooky season is the right time for families looking to connect with the wilderness in a setting that's both educational and fun. Moreover, the outing is paced with story times and craft projects, offered at no cost, for the little ones to enjoy.
Director Marni Lee of the Center conveyed the pulsing heart of nocturnal wildlife that comes alive as you slumber in your tents or meander through the night. "The wildlife you'll learn about are those you'll most likely hear at night while you're sleeping in your tent or that you may encounter during a midnight walk," Lee said. “There are many reasons why nighttime is the right time for these animals to be active. We encourage you to come to the center to learn more about Utah's 'scariest' wildlife during the spookiest month of the year," Marni Lee told the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources.
