Last week, Glendale's own The Brick Pub and Grill hosted the 10th annual Glendale Police K-9 Unit golf outing at the prestigious West Bend Country Club. A social media post by the Glendale Police Department - Wisconsin confirmed that the event was not only graced with perfect weather but also marked a "massive success," raising a substantial $23,000 for the K-9 unit.

In light of this success, the Glendale Police Department was able to excitedly announce the acquisition of a new police dog. The funds will directly support the arrival of Pako, the latest furry addition to the force. Officer Nick Smith is set to become Pako's handler and will shortly leave to train and to bond with his new partner in Pennsylvania. The duo's training is expected to span over a period of six weeks before they return to their home turf in Glendale. "We would like to thank everyone who has supported our K-9 Unit throughout the years as it is funded solely by donations," the Glendale Police Department - Wisconsin stated in the same post.

Pako and Officer Smith will soon patrol in a vehicle with new graphics, the first for the K-9 squad. The department said residents will see the vehicle on the roads soon and assured that K-9 Brix and Sgt. Bechler remains active, helping train Pako.
