Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Marco Trevino to the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners for a term ending February 1, 2029. Trevino is a licensed clinical social worker at Alivio Counseling Services, P.C., based in Edinburg.
As per the Office of the Texas Governor release, he has previously served as board president of the Community Council of the Rio Grande Valley and is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the American Red Cross. Trevino holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in social work from the University of Texas – Pan American.
In his new role, Trevino will help oversee the regulation of social work practices in Texas.
