A tragic incident occurred at Universal's Epic Universe theme park in Central Florida when a guest died after becoming unresponsive on the Stardust Racers roller coaster. The victim, a man in his 30s, tragically passed away following an episode on the thrill ride yesterday evening.
According to WFTV, the man was immediately transported to the hospital after the incident. Despite the efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead shortly after. In response to the situation, Universal Orlando Resorts has decided to temporarily close the attraction to thoroughly investigate what may have led to this unforeseen event.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office has begun its investigation, with off-duty deputies having responded quickly to the initial "man down" call at the theme park. In an exclusive video captured by Chopper 2 and reported by WESH, forensic teams could be seen taking photos, and a heavy law enforcement presence was evident in and around the loading area of the roller coaster.
