Residents of Terranova West Subdivision were jolted by the sound of gunfire on Wednesday, when multiple reports of shots fired brought deputies of Constable Mark Herman's Office to the 17600 block of Macrantha Drive. The rapid succession of shots prompted an urgent response from local law enforcement, who arrived shortly to address the disturbance, as reported by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
Authorities were able to quickly detain a male suspect, identified as Brian Brown, who was reportedly taken into custody at gunpoint. According to the details provided on the official Facebook page of Harris County Constable Precinct 4, deputies recovered a firearm from Brown's pocket and later discovered an AR-15 rifle in his backyard, cementing the gravity of the situation.
Further inquiries by the deputies revealed that Brown had discharged 10 rounds into the air, a reckless act that elevated the concerns of the community and necessitated his arrest. "Brian Brown was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Discharge of a Firearm in a Metro Area," as stated in the social media update from Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
