
On Thursday, deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office responded to a single-vehicle accident on the 27100 block of Northwest Freeway. When they arrived, the vehicle was abandoned. A later search located the driver, Thomas Farris, who appeared to be under the influence, as reported by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
Officials administered the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which Farris failed. "Thomas Farris was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated," said Constable Mark Herman. His bond was set at $100.00 in County Court 10, as stated by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
According to the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 on their Facebook page, information about the incident was shared to encourage local citizens to stay informed about local crimes, arrests, and traffic accidents by following their page and downloading the "C4 NOW" mobile app. Farris, who initially eluded officers after a crash, was later arrested. The Constable's Office also provides safety tips and updates to keep the community informed.
