
Over the last weekend, deputies in Harris County Precinct 4 made 10 arrests for suspected drunk driving. Harris County Constable Precinct 4 reported on their official Facebook page that each person showed signs of intoxication after initial traffic violations.
Harris County Constable Precinct 4 deputies conducted field sobriety tests that led to several arrests. Rene Banga was charged with Driving While Intoxicated with a Child Passenger and Assault of a Public Servant. Robert Peres was charged with a second DWI, and Dennis Benitez was charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. All were booked into Harris County Jail pending processing and charges.
Constable Mark Herman spoke on the dangers of drunk driving, saying, "Every one of these arrests represents a potentially tragic crash that was prevented. Drunk driving destroys lives. Please make the right choice — your life, your family’s life, and the lives of others on the road depend on it." According to the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 on their Facebook page, residents can get updates on crime, arrests, and traffic incidents through the page or the "C4 NOW" app, which provides live feeds and alerts.
