The team's offense, under the stewardship of Timmy Chang's coaching, blissfully racked up 535 yards, according to University of Hawaiʻi News.
In a game where both sides showcased an ability to score quickly, it was the Rainbow Warriors who efficiently capitalized on their chances. Micah Alejado, the UH quarterback, connected on 35 of his 47 passes throwing for 457 yards and three touchdowns. His efforts were pivotal in UH completing a commendable 14-of-19 on third-down conversions. The statistical symphony composed by UH was disrupted only briefly when Air Force cut the deficit to a meager three points, early in the second half. However, the 'Bows bounced back assertively, padding their lead with two subsequent touchdowns.

Matagi Thompson's first career interception was crucial in swaying the momentum back in favor of UH, giving them the spark to extend their lead to 31-14 in the early phases of the fourth quarter, as noted by KHON2.
