Hernando County Transit Services, known as TheBus, has launched two new bus routes, Route 7 and Route 8, to improve public transportation in the area.
According to the Hernando County release, Route 7 runs from the Walmart on US 41, stopping at the Suncoast Crossing Hub near the airport, then south to Masaryktown, and west on County Line Road to Publix at Avalon. Route 8 starts at US 19 and Spring Hill Drive, traveling past Medical Blvd. near Tampa General Hospital Spring Hill and stopping at Pasco-Hernando State College on the return trip.
The new routes aim to improve access to shopping, healthcare, and educational facilities for Hernando County residents.
