Hernando County will hold a meeting to discuss the results of a recent Vulnerability Assessment. According to a notice from the Hernando County website, the Local Mitigation Strategy (LMS) Committee will meet on Monday next week at 9 a.m. at the Emergency Operations Center in Brooksville. The findings will outline how prepared the region is for potential emergencies and what strategies may be needed to reduce risks.
The public is invited to attend the session to learn about disaster preparedness plans and how they may be affected by emergency scenarios. Details on the Local Mitigation Strategy, which provides a roadmap for reducing the county’s risk from natural disasters, will be available for review at the Emergency Operations Center.
