The Midline community near Baybrook Mall in southeast Houston has announced the homebuilders for its first phase. Highland Homes, Perry Homes, and Toll Brothers will work with co-developer Brookfield Residential to build the first 271 homes in the 1,000-acre development, according to KHOU

Midline, a planned community of 2,800 single-family homes, will offer lot sizes between 40 and 70 feet. Construction is set to begin early next year, with home prices ranging from the high $300,000s to more than $800,000. The first phase will be located between El Dorado Boulevard and Grissom Road, west of Interstate 45, within the Clear Creek Independent School District.

“Special street scenes, with a sensible mix of lot sizes to promote variety and interest, is one of our foundational planning principles for Midline,” said Matthew McCafferty, senior vice president of operations for Brookfield Residential, as reported by Community Impact. The project will include parks, more than a dozen miles of trails, and the Midline Club amenity center, with construction on the center starting in the spring. Model homes and a welcome center are planned for this fall, with sales beginning early next year at the northwest corner of FM 528 and Beamer Road.
