As the community of Horizon City preps for joyous homecoming celebrations, the local high school is inviting one and all to its annual procession and pep rally. The Horizon City Police Department has laid down the blueprint for Wednesday's evening of revelry on social media, promising a parade that kicks off at 6:00 PM sharp, followed by high spirits at a community event designed to foster local pride and camaraderie.
Commencing with a lineup at 5:15 PM, floats will take their position on a first-come, first-served basis. The procession begins at proudly designated Post Light #64 on Eastlake Blvd, with students being set down at Post Light #51, as outlined by the Horizon City Police Department. Those eager to immerse themselves in the festivities can do so from the spectator viewing area accessible from Horizon Blvd. And although the anticipation might be burgeoning, safety remains paramount with officials reminding that children need to be seated within vehicles en route to the start point.
The march is slated to conclude at the Horizon High School back parking lot, where the free Homecoming Community Pep Rally will take root. Here, the Student Council will run concession stands, striving to satiate the appetites of students, families, and community members who descend to revel in the shared joy of coming home.
